My television is always stuck on Nick Jr., thanks to my 4 year old son, and I've found myself enjoying some of the music that gets played in between, and even during, shows. One song in particular caught my ear and has opened me up to a whole new world of awesome. The song is called Dr. Stringz and the artist is Andrew Bird. He has such an amazing way with words and his instruments...it's hard to imagine that I discovered him on a children's network. If you haven't had a chance to check him out, defintely do. There are several videos on youtube that are well worth the look up.

That was sweet! thanks. He is very talented. I got his latest record, great morning music!
The song is from Jacks Big Music Show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HmkLu24w2o
I find myself waiting for the song to play, even when DJ is asleep. I guess not so surprisingly since it is mostly our generation making these kids shows, there's some pretty quality music on the different shows. Gives me hope for future generations :P
That was an awesome performance. I was also pretty stoked that there was a White Stripes performance on that page as well. Double win
Love this tune.

Surprised there hasn't been more action on this thread... Andrew Bird is an amazingly talented musician.
"Come take my hand, and let yourself rely.
Don't hold your breath, don't close your eyes.
I've learned to breath and I've learned to fly.
I've learned to see and I know I'm going higher."
