It sounds like most of us were in the same spot. I had my shorter female friend in front of me, I had on a black shirt, glasses, blonde guy with a beard.
Speaking of beards, my friends and I were commenting on how many beards there were all over the place last night. I was right behind those three guys that Afroannie was talking about on Mike's side. One of them was asked to leave for a while for sneaking a cigarette. I was wearing a yellow t-shirt, brown glasses, no beard.
Afroannie - I too like to meet fellow nutjobs
on this board if I can. I was part of a somewhat awkward meeting at the last dc area show at jiffy lube live. next time there's a show in the area we'll definitely chat it up.
Definitely! :thumbup:Show #13 was a lucky one for me....0 -

Can some one confirm, is Mike's side on Mike's regular PJ spot and Jeff's side is Stone's regular PJ spot?
Mike is on his "normal" PJ side and yes Jeff was where Stone usually is. Enjoy the show!Show #13 was a lucky one for me....0 -
My friend and I drove from Minnesota to be at the DC show, and it was excellent. Like all PJ events, the crowd was just great and so positive. (Thanks to Joe, Craig, Randall and Jackie for hanging out with us--hope I got all your names right!) Like other people have said, Mike was beyond awesome, and I was honored to pay homage at the feet of Jeff Ament.
dUg really let loose and was terrific live. I had not heard of Richard Stuverud before the CD came out, and he completely rocked the house--just superb. I would see him play anytime, any place.
My favorites of the night were "Utah," "Oh, Lord," and the sweet "LaGrange."
Thanks to The Black Cat and to everyone who made it such a great night! (If 3Mts. needs one more gig to pass the time, feel free to hit us up in the Midwest.)0 -
If you get a chance go see these guys you need to go. I second all of the great reviews. Mike was unreal, DuG voice is great and Jeff rocked out. You also will never get closer to these guys on stage. I was ten feet from Mike and it was unreal. To end a great night, we heard that Mike and Jeff might be hanging at the bar downstairs. No more than twenty minutes after the show out come Mike and Jeff. They spent a good half an hour talking to a group of us and could not have been more down to earth and generous with their time. I have been to over 25 shows but had never met anyone from the band. I even got a picture with Mike. Most cases our "idols" are not what we envison that might be in person. Jeff and Mike were every bit as cool and grounded as I hoped they would be. It just reinforced why I have followed and supported this band for 20 years. I think you guys were standing right next to me on my left side...so nice of you to let your shorter friend stand in front of you

Correct! What a small world! Very cool that you drove down for it. Of course I let her stand in front, I'm a nice "tall" guy

The drive isn't too bad..it takes me about the same amount of time to go to either DC or Philly, but I lived in northern baltimore for several years, so I'm more familiar with the DC area..so I usually go there for shows. I don't mind traveling...for good music
I really want to go to PJ20...and that will definitely mean some serious travel time
Good to meet you and maybe I'll bump into you again!Show #13 was a lucky one for me....0 -
I drove from Minnesota with my friend (kidofklay) to see Tres Mtns. It was worth every minute and every penny. They are a BLAST to see live! As usual, Mike and Jeff were amazing. I was on Jeff's side, one person back from the stage, and he seemed to be really into the music and who he was performing with. What an amazing experience to be SO close to the stage!
I wasn't familiar with Richard Stuverud before the show but he was a beast behind the drum kit. What fun to watch him play! I will definitely be seeking out more from him.
A special thanks to Jackie, Randall, and Joe - who we met at the show. It was great to meet some fellow PJ "enthusiasts" - plus you were fun to hang around with. Jackie - thanks for the photos of your wristband! Hope to see you again at another show!
Bottom line - SEE TRES MTNS if you can. It's a GREAT show!0 -
I've scanned the DC setlist (presumably most other shows as well) for anyone that wants it. It is available here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0SSI8HKU0

Thanks Travelar! I might print this off and add it to my stickers that Mike gave me and my dUg pick
But next time you grab the set list you should really give it to the short girl standing behind you
