I am a golden god-Robert Plant

So its one of the most famous utterances in rock history, but I am trying to figure out when Robert Plant actually said this, and where? We all know the scene in Almost Famous that made the statement reknowned to a new generation.

But when and where did Robert say this?

    From "Hammer of the Gods" book, a picture of him on the deck of his room. The caption under the picture says:
    Robert Plant surveys Hollywood from the Riot House, Sunset Strip, March 1975. "I am a golden god!" he shouted as the picture was taken.
