I'll watch the FF's documentary just to catch the Hovercraft clips, which I think we've seen most of anyway.
I know its sacrilege around here but i don't' really care for the foo fighters. Nirvana yes, Dave...not so much.
peace,

That magazine cracks me the hell up... "7 best music documentaries coming this year" and no PJ20 to be seen. Ridiculous.
I dont get it. Maybe they felt that they covered PJ20 enough with the few articles mentioning it along with the festival and the Vs./Vitalogy rereleases, but cmon man, its Cameron Crowe, one of their own!!!
Also cant wait for the Foos doc. Love me some more Foos

How dare they not mention the PJ 20 film...
Cameron Crowe wrote for the damn magazine, and directed an award winning movie about his experiences there!
So stupid.
But-
I was in the front row at the Mike Watt/Foo/Hovercraft show in Providence RI in '95.
Will never forget Dave and Eddie going crazy playing guitar together....it was awesome!
The big find: footage of the Foos’ first tour, a 1995 series of shows with Eddie Vedder’s Hovercraft side project and Mike Watt. “There were hardly any pictures from that show and we didn’t think anyone even shot it,” says Academy Award-winning director James Moll. “But it turned out [former Foos guitarist] Pat Smear’s ex-wife shot it on a videocamera and had it in storage.”

I know I'll probably take a beating for this comment but maybe they saw the PJ20 doc and didn't think it was very good.
Now, I don't think that can be possible and I can't wait for it but did you ever think of that.....?
interesting. I guess you know what they say about assuming

awesome t-shirt...I would bid on it but I have one very similar..it's yellow, same lettering "Mike Watt and the Pair of Pliers, enough w/ the piss bag tour 2000"

I watched the Lemmy documentary and didn't really understand all the hype. It was okay, but really just two hrs of people talking about him drinking with "Ace of Spades" playing in the background. Meh.
I doubt PJ20 will be groundbreaking in any way. It will be a puff piece - a love letter to Pearl Jam without much substance.
I don't need it to be groundbreaking, I just think it's going to be a hell of a good time going to see this on a big screen with friends. Also want to see FF too for the same reason...
As for RS, the omission of PJ20 on this list is just as glaring as leaving Stone off the list they did of eco-friendly rockers. Their opinions seem to keep standing in the way of their journalism....

And your opinions want to force PJ20 into their list of favourite music docs... and how can a list not be opinions?
I do, think the PJ20 will be great as a fan.. to just watch new stuff from the band. But as I said, in the end it will be "meaningless" like that the doors documentary with Johnny Depp narrating (when your strange?).
It will be more like a " 10min making of" documentary on a next-to-vanilla DVD-disc than something similiar to... lets say the four hour Blade Runner documentary.

I got bored with it and stopped....
