It's 7 minutes long but it is very interesting information here. All I have to say is you get what you voted for.

you definitely get what you voted for...I will say I would highly doubt this bill will pass judicial review.

That taxes part is what it is, but the idea that an a "emergency" local government basically violates the right to vote. I haven't read the constitution in Michigan but I just don't see how this is going to pass a review when a legal challenge is brought.

Check out Greek Town next time. A stop at Pizza Papaya's is required although you need to make sure you have a case of Tums sitting on your bed stand later on.

sounds good, unfortunately most of my time was spent living on ten mile and working in troy, talk about a juxtaposition...I don't think any poverty:rich ratio is bigger anywhere in the united states. i was astounded to say the least...like I always say, the place is like thunderdome

I even made sure I took a trip up to flint for a night out with some co-workers...whoops
I would love to be a billionaire like Gates...I would create a new robot police officer to battle todays criminal.

but I will hit greek town next time I am there, you would think any town that puts out hockey excellence would have some redeeming qualities.

In Michigans's case who were they suppose to vote for? The status quo just did not seem like an option. This could be more a problem with the 2 party system more than anything else.

I look at part of the problems with Michigan/US politics on a smaller scale such as the new border crossing that is going to be built between Windsor/Detroit leading to the problems. Many major business's say the new border crossing is needed yet the owners of the ambassador bridge has been able to hold up approval in Michigan by lobbying and using the courts, all to protect his monopoly and 90 year old bridge that is under repair at a snails pace.

Remember there are two parts to Michigan: Detroilet and everything else. I grew up in the central part of the lower peninsula, and it is still a place I love to vacation even though I haven't lived there for ~10 years. The entire west coast of the state is beautiful too.

That being said, the economics are in the toilet, hence our move to follow work nearly a decade ago.
