Everyday on my way to work i plug my mp3 player into my car stereo and listen to PJ (mostly) and today Yield just happen to be the next album in line on my playlist.I let it play till the end of Faithful and then went back to In Hiding again and listened to them once more.....it put me in a place where i was contemplating life/current times.
I'm just trying to say...music is one of Gods greatest gifts and can have such a profound effect on your mood(or just help magnify the state of mind you are in) and i am very thankful to the band for supplying the fuel that drives my soul!!
as shitty as this world is and as bad as times are (they are only going to get worse for the foreseeable future) i have faith in humanity and that the goodness in most of us will prevail over the evil few that are in power who have cast this misery upon us.Music has always given me strength and that is a bond a lot of us share with the band and it brings us as fans closer together as well IMO.
'Viva La' Pearl Jam!!!

all my life i've been worried about the future and preoccupied with the past and never had any fun because of the past i've had.
as i was waiting for a bus a few days ago i was listening to no code and walking near this tree (i love trees and loved them more since the tree planting) and i noticed it grew bent to get away from the shadows. guess what song popped up i love that song way too much and it really put things in perspective. pearl jam saved my life like, 300 times! i wanna give a shout out too.
THANK YOU PEARL JAM!!!

I'm glad someone feels what i was trying to say washedinblack91 and you are right..great fucking song.
No Code is #1 in my book!
My golden moment? Listening to a Pearl Jam song that holds magical memories of being on tour. Makes me feel the luckiest person in the world.
Being aware and appreciating things like that really do make a shite day worth living through.

Go Cards Go!
I listen to them earlier than breakfast, even. If I wake up in the early hours of the morning and can't get back to sleep, on goes my MP3 player (I do shift work so have to get up 6.14am anyway). I love starting my morning to PJ! You say music gives you strength? PJ start my day off well and I love it that they have a great reputation in that they respect their fans like no other band. They have also helped me through depression years ago when I got depressed...
These days I almost always listen to music in the morning when I'm getting ready for work. Not normally Pearl Jam, but I'm sure they'll come back around again eventually.
What are you're favorite pick me up songs? Down and Given To Fly come to mind for me.

I guess I shouldn't say they are all "pick me up" songs, because some of them, like "Immortality," are just PJ songs that I love listening to no matter what mood I'm in!
Porch, Rearviewmirror, Smile, Lukin, LBC, and Solider of Love are on there for sure, as well as most of the songs from Into the Wild. Oh yeah, and Pete Townshend and Ed rocking out to Magic Bus.
Seriously, there is nothing like singing "I miss you allllreeaaaaaaady!" with all the windows down. I get a lot of strange looks.
that's awesome dude! insuring future generations of PJ fans..good job!
PJ def stands alone when it comes to taking care of their people (us fans )
music is such a powerful force that can hold you up through some of your darkest hours...like a melodic friend embracing you and telling you everything will work out...which creates a stronger bond between you and the band that transcends the normal fan-band relationship.(at least that's how i feel)
