Hey

Anyone have any strong opinions on the best section to buy tickets for a show @ The House of Blues in Boston?? Headed to Arctic Monkeys and wanna know which of the 3+ sections I should pick. My gf and I are 5'7" and 5'10" respectively

Thanks much!

seen 5 or so shows there

buy GA floor tix and stand next to the soundboard, there is alittle step there so if you are the first person at that area, you are about 1 foot above the prople on the floor, can see perfectly.

the 2nd floor is horrible unless your on the rail, but then you can't leave or you lose your spot, never been on the 3rd floor.

Hey there. I've been to the HOB about a dozen times since the reopening. Seats are nice, but there aren't a whole lot of them (2nd and 3rd level). We had a great time up in the seats for both The National and Modest Mouse, but both times the heat was unbearable. They don't have awesome air circulation there, so the heat rises to the top level of the venue. That being said, the seats offer a great view of the stage. You usually end up having to spend a few extra bucks for seats on the 2nd and 3rd level. My personal preference is to get floor tickets (general admission) and find yourself a nice spot at one of the corners of the floor. You're much closer to the action and usually get a good view. The worst experiences I've had were when we were on the rail on the 2nd and 3rd level with standing room only tickets. It gets crowded and unless you're right on the edge, you can barely see the stage and the band. We were stuck like this for Les Claypool, Derek Trucks Band, and the 2nd National show.

Hope that answers your question. Have a great time regardless at Arctic Monkeys! And also, be sure to hit up one of the awesome bars and restaurants in the close vicinity. And of course, you're about 40 feet away from Fenway Park!

    come on now 8-)

i had much more expectations for that place when I found out they were building it. It's a decent venue, but could have been so much better (also, hate how moe. picks this place over the orpheum now). Security is out of control in that place, expect a good size line getting in. Unless you have deep pockets, stay away from the mixed drinks, very pricey...PBR tall boys is the way to go inside that place. Also, good call on it getting hot inside there.

 Just messing with you buddy. Yeah, I had high expectations for that place. Correct on all other counts, security sucks, lines getting in/out, PBR tall boys. Havent seen moe. there yet, but I have a love/hate thing with the Orpheum anyways, so I wouldn't be opposed to seeing them at HOB instead. Dreading the potential poor sound quality at my upcoming Orpheum Fleet Foxes show.

i'm with ya on the sound quality, but it's so nice inside that makes up for it in my opinion
