aparently, the truck clipped the bus.

13 people dead andd i think 8 others critical,...

bus driver survived and is helping police.

there also were / are cameras, but because it was so early ( like 6 am ) it was still dark, so who knows if the camera will actually help./

Hope they find the scumbag that caused this , and then left the scene .

    wow......terrible isnt even a word.

It said it was heading back to chinatown. theres a cheap bus company from chi-town that is known for having more bus accidents than any other company. I dont think thats the company but maybe.

I take that stretch of 95 a lot. You take your life in your hands with all those trucks flying by. Even at 6am.
Was a terrible to see first thing this morning.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

What a terrible crash. I was in the area hours after and 95 south was still closed down. They've upped the deaths to 14 and most still critical.

my thoughts to the families who've lost loved ones and those trying to live through this.

now they are questioning the bus driver, and if there even was a truck to begin with. They got statements from some of the survivors that the bus driver was weaving in and out of lanes,
and they belive the bus driver may have been fatigued and tired.
    Stay tuned,....

I thought about the driver being fatigued...you have to figure everyone on that bus including the driver pulled an all-nighter considering the time of day this happened. And that's a long ride....

This was weird, too _ it said they left NY for the casino around 8 p.m., and were scheduled to arrive back at 5:30 a.m.? I've never been to a casino, I guess that's probably normal hours.

You're right, you really do put yourself into the hands of someone else when you take public transportation. Or charter transportation.

When you see the images, it's hard to believe that anybody could have survived.

Mr. Unlost was reading some of it to me this morning and we were saying that those initial rescuers, from the cars that stopped and the fire, police and ambulance personnel, will carry those images to their graves. Nobody can be prepared for something like that...

I am in the medical field, and we all know all about the ethics that come along with working in this field:

A surgeon at jacobi treating injured patients actually texted pics of severed appendages to his wife - and MORON that she is, she told the story to the times.

Hope he enjoyed his time in he medical field here in NY , he'll certainly be blacklisted, at least in NYS .

That's despicable. I'd be disappointed if the Board of Registration in Medicine didn't move to take action on his license.

It certainly isn't an easy job. There's a guy from my firehouse in NYC that was working 9/11 at the trade center & also weeks later at the plane crash in the Rockaways. The nose of that plane crashed pretty much straight down, most of the people he put in body bags were cut in half from the seatbelts :? . Like I said before , the job isn't for everyone.

actually, that plane exploded up in the air and was scattered all around for about 2 square miles.
