New music from Jason due out 4/12. There's also a mp3 of one of the tracks (Codeine) on his website. Really like the direction he went with this one, the americana sound really fits his voice. Reminds me a lot of the Jayhawks.

Lots of new shows up too.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Albums out today, so I finally got a listen. Really great album. Very impressed with the arrangements, sounds much more confident/mature than his other two releases.

Delve back into his time with the Drive By Truckers too. He's on Decoration Day, Dirty South, and A Blessing and A Curse.

I got the mp3's from emusic. Amazon had it for $5.99 for download too.

It's been on continual rotation for me since I picked it up. Probably a good thing I haven't gotten the bad ass new Foo yet :)

Read online a few days ago that Jason and his girlfriend, musician Amanda Shires are now engaged.

    Congrats to the couple.

Hopefully the second marriage is the charm for him. He seems much happier since he met Amanda and he's sober now.

    Here's a great solo recording: http://www.thesteamengine.net/home/down ... rk-ny.html

Yeah, they are playing The Mercy Lounge in Nashville tonight. He actually moved there some time ago to be closer to her...although, he stays on the road quite a bit.

If the show wasn't during the week, I would have love to have gone. Especially with it being their first show together as an engaged couple. Don't know how that would make a difference...but nevertheless.
