you can do better than that.

you have a website of people waiting for you, that spout off USA policy disgust, those who would like to see everybody have equal possessions.

all you have to do is tell them to save their monies, skip traveling to pearl jam shows, tell them where you are going to begin.

or, just keep typing about it.

i just thought i would help out with the imagery your post reminded me of...you are trying to rile people up like great leaders herb brooks in miracle and william wallace in braveheart.
if you lead people they will follow....

i don't want everyone to have equal possessions. i don't care about possessions. i want everyone to have a fair shake, an equal opportunity and freedom to not be bullied by the haves. you question me, but you started the thread, what are you gonna do to do about it? call people to action with no plan? sounds like bush rallying the international community about going into iraq...

so what do you think finally pushed the people of the middle east into revolution?

the topics i read around this website, over the years, i would of thought the people who are disgusted with American policies would have done something years ago? and now the same people, should be inspired by watching the others succeed or fail.

There's more options then you're willing to acknowledge. I dislike American politics: according to what you write, I can lead a revolt, or I can "keep typing". What? Really? I don't see anywhere how discussion is a bad thing! How can telling people to "put up or shut up" (not verbatim) be acceptable, when discussion, conversation, and debate furthers personal growth?

And it's rather self-indulgent to come on here and pretty much say that your taking action by buying stocks is any better than what we may be doing (which you don't know of). Really, does it make you feel more triumphant?

I'm taking the low road. Since I don't agree with American politics, but don't feel like being a William Wallace, doesn't mean I'm not living according to my own values. I try to live the slow life, which is better for my peace of mind, I focus on the things that truly matter rather than moan over problems with no solutions. But I like to discuss ideas and problems that can possibly be solved. Which means, sometimes, typing!

discussion is good but most people here are to firm to listen to other options or even try and understand a different opinion or view, you seem to listen to both sides though.

I completely disagree...because you disagree with someone and do not change your position does not mean you don't listen to, or are not understanding what the other side is saying. Some people just wait for their turn to speak, but I think a lot of the regular posters here read others posts carefully and respond in thoughtful ways...
even you from time to time

NEVER STOP .... it is imperative that you never stop TYPING!!!!!
what a ridiculous concept, are there really only two choices...revolution or typing?...hmmm i choose dishwashing

The American public is too lazy; they don't care. They would rather sit on the couch and watch celebrities dance, while scarfing down their second Big Mac and a super-sized Coke. They would rather roam the malls a la Dawn of the Dead, searching for the next on-sale item that was made in a Philippino sweatshop by an 11year old girl; the would rather go to the new American Church-Wal Mart-and purchase cheap, poorly constructed "goods" that were made in China. Yes, 70% of the crap in Wal Mart is made in China.

A huge reason Tunisia began the up rising was due to increased food prices. It was the trigger.
