PJ hasn't made their way around to GA since their 2003 tour for Riot Act.. seems like an awfully long time to go for a major US city. Almost wondering if it was a politically motivated move.. most of our state's government is pretty bass ackwards. The shows I've seen here have been phenomenal and I hope they head this way again soon.. everyone needs their fix..
And when he came back to, he was flat on his back on the beach in the freezing sand, and it was raining out of a low sky, and the tide was way out..

So how bass ackwards are we talking here? Did the state elect someone with insufficient exeprience, questionable background, & innapropriate friends, solely because he was a smooth talker who could read the shit out of a teleprompter? Because that would be bass akwards, I could never see that happening..... oh wait. :(

If there really is a particular reason why they have not played Atlanta, then this (rather than any political reason) is likely it.

Aside from the fact that that happened in 2009 and they haven't played there since 2003.

Maybe they could see into the future???

That is a good point, too. I honestly don't think there is a reason they haven't played Atlanta in particular but they must have some reason why they haven't played the South in general. Whatever the reason I hope it changes because there are cities down there I would love to travel to for shows.

Pearl Jam in Savannah Ga would be sweet. They could play at Savannah College of Art and Design sports complex. I mean Savannah is bad ass it's the only city in the south i miss living in but PJ playing there would be well tits.

Remember how bad Ed talked about Georgia at the Mansfield 7/11/03 show? Maybe he really wasn't drunk/kidding.

I can't remember exactly what it was, but I'm sure he talked about their poor intellect and lack of teeth

Actually venue they played at in 2003 in more in the ghetto part of Atlanta. Just south of the Federal pen. When you're in and around Atlanta you're not really in the "Deliverance" zone. In the GA mountains and south in the farmlands maybe.

The venue for the EV solo shows couldn't be more suburban.

Actually EV had some nice things to say about Atlanta. Talked about not playing here in a while and recording here.
