    As long as he's not raping girls in a bathroom, going to jail for dogfighting, or getting caught having torrid love affairs with high school kids, he can do whatever he wants and look as fruity as he wants. Then again, I'm just a little biased.

    Ya know, I haven't seen one NFL-related conversation on any website on the internet in the past year that someone hasn't mentioned rape, dog-fighting, Rex's foot fetish or Favre's penis and it's getting pretty sad. I have to blame the announcers for mentioning this crap ALL THE TIME and making it truly part of the NFL conversation. I can't even imagine what it's like to be a father these days and watching the game with your son. "Dad, why isn't Big Ben playing today?" "Dad, what is this (impotence medicine) commercial about?" "Dad, what did Brett Favre do with his phone? The announcers keep saying he did something with his phone"

    The lowest of all was when I saw the following on the bottom of the Madden Online ticker: "Rex Ryan says foot fetish video is a "private manner" and won't comment any further." ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN ON MADDEN! Look, what Rex and Mrs. Rex do is fine by me and there's (obviously) much weirder sexual fetishes out there. But on the bottom of the Madden ticker? Lumped in with news like "Tom Brady named MVP" or "Pouncy out for Super Bowl"? Put Jim Ross on commentary and I wouldn't know if this is the NFL or the WWF circa 1997.

    And I'm not uptight or anything. I like a good joke as much as the next guy and lots of the Rex or Favre stuff that you see on the Late Night shows has been funny. But I cannot take seeing the word RAPE in football conversations anymore. And I'm done blaming Roethlisberger for it. Now I'm blaming you and the people who constantly bring it up for it.

    Yeah, saw that. Not good. And you're right, there were clearly some malfeasance on the part of Bill and his errand boy Josh McDaniels. And that forever alters the public perception of our franchise in Foxboro. But that was almost 10 years ago and it really had nothing to do with Brady.
