Great song, a real gem! My favourite song on Lost Dogs. But I'm not sure if it's an appropriate live song. Well, who cares - would be so wonderful to hear it anyway.

I would agree that this has to be their most under-rated song. It is pretty damn good!
  • This is definitely one of my favorites.

I'd love to hear it at Mansfield!

it better not be one of those songs they dont play for personal reasons, like how they used to get all upset playing black sometimes and what not. cuz i need, NEED to see this, and other songs *COUGH fatal* live already!

if he wrote those lyrics for someone close to him i would think singing them would be a tribute to this person.

come on! play it at least once!!

    WHO'S WITH ME???!!!!!

I just posted this on the other-Otherside thread...

I tried to start a mini-campaign for Otherside at the 2nd Bridge School show in 2003...my friend and I had 1st row seats (lucked out with TM when they added the second show) and I had a made a little sign with OTHERSIDE on it. But I got so wrapped up in the show and they only played 7 songs, that we didn't hold it up until about the 5th song. Ed saw it and pointed it out to Jeff who chuckled but that was the extent of it.

It was a short-lived campaign...but maybe I should dig out that sign again for MSG!

Or Mansfield 1! (Since I'll have better 10C seats for Mansfield 1 and won't be at Mansfield 2) Who's with me???? :)

Jeff wrote it about his parent's who've been married for like 30+ years, and it was for them (I think that's what's in the LD liner notes), correct me if I'm wrong...and yes, I'd love to see this amazing tune of this tour!
I met my wife here...you can too! Don't lose hope!

    I Agree..

This is an amazing track but I dont know if it would translate well live!

I have one of the No Way live versions (there's only 3!) and to be honest - Its not so great live either!

I was actually thinking of "Hold On" when I wrote this. Other Side is also pretty damn good.

That's a great story. Maybe there is a chance, they just need to realize that people actually WANT to hear it. A sign or two couldn't hurt :)
