Good stuff!
Picked it up this afternoon. The best just keeps getting better!
Still getting used to the analog controls, but for the most part I like them.
Anyone else pick this up yet?

There is more that changed from 10 to 11, than from 09 to 10.
I haven't played any RTTS yet. That's my favorite. I can seriously play that for hours on end!
Really? I mean, outside of the controls, it doesn't seem it. I like the whole concept of the pitching though - makes it more difficult.
Eh, I'm about spent on RTTS. I just want a really good online part for once so that playing against other people wasn't just a pain in the ass.
Here's a funny line from new color man Eric Karros. I always play as the Phillies and earlier when I was pitching with Roy Halladay, I threw a strike that was called a ball and Karros says "He's used to getting that call. I guess he's on the cover of the wrong game."

Wait a minute....do you mean as a game as a whole it's not as good as 2K11, or that the analog controls aren't as good as 2K11? Because you're crazy if you think 2k11 is a better overall game.
Yeah The Show is way better than 2K but I'm not using the new analogue controls. It took me long enough to master hitting with the old controls. Not that I've "mastered" it but you know...

Well you know, believe it or not there are those that prefer fun over realism, but in this case I was just referring to the analog controls. There's no doubt that The Show is a better overall package, but I'm tired of people shitting all over 2K11 like it's Superman 64 or something. Every time a friend comes over to check out the games they always prefer 2K because it's not so damn hard to simply hit the ball. It's much easier to pick up and play and it has come a long way.
6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1
9/04/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 2
Best sports game hands down.
Come to think of it, I need to try out NHL 11 too.

When I'm bored I do this to fulfill the nerd in me of running a team. Do franchise mode but don't play any of the games.
Bababooey1979 If anyone wants to battle online.
if you are a hockey fan, you must pick it up. EA has ramped up their hockey title a great deal for about 4 straight years. This release is just great. It includes euro leagues (not the KHL unfortunately) and the entire CHL. There are 3-4 game modes that could be a complete game stand alone. GM Mode, Ultimate Team, Be A Pro, and EASHL. I was down on EA hockey games for awhile, but they really seem to have been putting a lot of effort into these.
Never played The Show. I 'game' on the 360. I have a PS3, but the fiance uses it mainly for blu ray and Netflix. I have never played a game on it. 2K10 and 2K11 are solid games though IMO and really kick the pants off of 2K9 and earlier.
Im really looking forward to seeing possible direct competition with baseball gaming. I would love to see EA get back in. I think the exclusive deal ends in 2012 and 2K likely wont re-up. The last EA MLB baseball game was amazing.

That's what I wanna ask - how is the online play? Much improved? No lag? I'd also like to have the option to change my point of view when pitching - I like to pitch viewing from the mound.
Eh. You can weed them out with leagues. That's the only aspect of the 2K games I liked better. I got into some cash leagues so people had to adhere to some kind of etiquette. Those were the best - $20 leagues. Now, if only The Show's leagues options and online play are good I'm going to look to do the same on there.
Overall I think it's much better. Not that there's no lag at all because you'll get the occasional "traffic delay", but as far as having to friendly quit because the lag is so bad, I haven't had that yet.

Really, the best thing I did was to create a RTTS player (non pitcher). There you get to start off in AA, and they put you through a lot of batting practice. It has helped A LOT!!
I was skeptical of the analog hitting at first...mostly because I sucked! But now I def prefer it!!
Well, sure...that's why the Wii exists and has been successful.
Some people don't care for the detail, realism, or gameplay...but prefer something that they can pick up and play.
Hell, I bet you if you asked the average person if they preferred RBI Baseball on the NES or MLB 11: The Show...RBI would win in a landslide.
That said, I still do love RBI baseball on the NES. That game is fun...especially if you've been drinking! Lots of shit talking opportunity!
Anyways, I'm really liking the new Show. Perfect? No, but you won't find a baseball game that comes close to it in my opinion!
Seattle needs to get a truckload of "Bret Boone's Instant Bicep" energy drink and start handing it out to the entire team as soon as possible!
