What should you do with old/broken laptops?

Do you just throw them in the trash? I feel like they can be recycled......bring them to a store?

    battery can be sold on the bay if it's still good, or it can be recycled. Best Buy/Staples/Office Max/Costco will take or at least know where to take your old laptop...PLEASE recycle it...so much lead and mercury and other toxic materials in them.

    All the working parts, ram, the keyboard, rhe entire thing as is, the monitor. Look up your laptop on ebay.

    Some websights will also pay cash for them.

    Or recycle it if you dont have the time interest. Call best buy and ask the

    yes, please please recycle if you don't want to salvage anything. Electronics like this can be very dangerous to the environment when just thrown into a landfill.

    What's funny is most of those electronic recyclable places are a sham and they still end up in some toxic computer junk yard in China or Africa.

    our county's dump is very much into recycling. they have a huge dumpster just for electronics.
    can you take the hard drive out and smash it with a hammer first? some people buy them and fix them up for nursing homes, for example also.

    +1 hard drive most go out for safety of your privacy and can be come bad for you in the wrong hands
