Age gaps....

This hot chick was striking a conversation with me on Saturday night at a 21st b'day party I went to.
She was telling me she just started university so I am guessing she is 18-19 yrs old.
I am 26, turning 27 middle of this year.
What do you think, stay away or have a go or wait 2-3 more years and hope she is still single lol

Depends on so many factors. Are you interested in intellect? She may not yet have enough life experience to match yours. On the other hand, she may... But what about her friends, who you may be forced to hang with?

I was married to someone 15 years my senior. And although I didn't find age an issue (the secret fiance, on the other hand, I did have an issue with!), there were a lot of cultural references we didn't share.

No harm in giving it a go, although the fact you're raising it here may mean you already have some concerns.

    Good luck.

She did sound mature for her age, and smart....
My only concern is does it look bad, that's all.

Hell no! And she'll have cred with her mates. It's a win-win.

    Does she look bad??
    ;)

But really, you gotta think, are you looking for something serious or a bit of fun, cause at 19 will she be looking for serious??

But I have no problem with a what, a 7 year age gap. As long as it's not a 14 year old with a 20 year old.

who knows, at that age they choose clubbing over anything.
She kept making eye contact with me from a distance before and after we met.
And she is one of many that didn't come across as stuck up.

You're only 18 months older than me, I would have no probs being 'friendly' with an 18 y.o. But if she was immature and her friends were the same, then I'd have probs. In my first year of uni, I was 21 or 22, and the 18yr old girls were so annoying, I wanted to tape their mouths shut.

So depending on the situation, can be good, can be annoying.

I feel for ya. I'd hate to be single these days, and at my age(30). Like where do you go to meet someone? the last few times I've been out to clubs, and not really night clubs, but more live venue type clubs, I've always come home and thought thank fuck I don't have to do that every weekend to try and find someone.

Like my wife has two girlfriends, they are both great girls, both with great jobs, own their houses plus have investment houses, one is earning over $100k a year and travels overseas at least once a year for skiing holidays. but are both single, but aren't the type of girls to go out to clubs to meet someone, so what are they to do? Like beside being set up by friends or through work, what else is there? The net??

    Yep that is me.
Hate clubbing, hate that having to hunt for a chick feeling.
I like by chance meetings like I did at this 21st party.

I know times change etc but my folks were 18 and 27 when they got together (thought they met at a gig so maybe times don't really change :P ) and next year they will have been together 40 years (married 33 years this summer)
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

Dont overthink it. Just spend some quality time with the young lady. If it progresses great, if not, then you still got to know her and possibly made a new friend.

That is not a huge difference in age, although there may be differences in lifestyles. But that could make things more interesting. In sum, do not ever deny yourself the privilege of spending time with a beautiful woman when the opportunity presents itself.

if the feelings are mutual then go for it. 7 years is no big deal.
Hell, My Father has been married close to 40 years with a woman 20 years younger than him.
(dated when he was 36 she was 18) MASSIVE controversy in our small little town at the time...

but they are still together and strong.

yeah...it depends. I was always more 'mature' than my friends, and dated guys older then me...

hang out with her, see what she's like and if you have a good time, you have a good time, if not, oh well. Does it look bad? Well, why does it matter? They're not dating her, you are...who cares what other people think?

I didn't get her number but a few of my friends have her on facebook, they know her more than me.
    Do I add her?
I dunno when I will see her again but I see she is attending a community event at a nightclub on Sunday night (not into clubbing).

Thats tough man... Add her sure, but I wouldn't go to a night club... You would just look like a sleaze hanging around an 18 yr old girl, plus her friends will most likely be annoying...

Having said that, could be a good venue for a bit of dutch courage... Speaking of which I could do with some myself...

Maybe just add a personal message with the friends request, they give you the option to.

You know just say you enjoyed meeting her and chatting or whatever and you thought maybe sometime it would be good if you could fuck.
