I will finally see Neil Young live on April 24th. I have refused to see him since his ticket prices were so high and I was never a big fan of his new stuff..... until now. I absolutely love Le Noise. Can't wait to hear those tracks and some of his classics. :)

I agree...Le Noise is a brilliant album. And most people won't realize it (I didn't until, being the enormous Neil fan I am, I thought really hard about it), but Le Noise is the first and so far only truly solo studio album he's EVER released! Past albums may have had a track or two that were just Neil, but always had other musicians on the album. Le Noise is Neil, the whole Neil, and nothing but Neil all the way through.

Glad you'll get to see him live. I saw him with Crazy Horse at Bonnaroo in 2003. Definitely one of the most memorable shows I've ever seen.

It reminds me of when I was a kid and he got on stage with PJ at the MTV awards. I loved it, because it gave me a chance to validate my new favorite band to my overly-critical-of-newer-music father, who is a huge Neil Young fan. "Look Dad! That's Neil Young, right? Playing with Pearl Jam, right? So these guys can't be all-bad, can they?" After that performance, plus the Vs. album (which had more stuff that he liked than Ten did) and news of PJ & Neil collaborating on Mirror Ball, the old man agreed with me.

fuck yessssssss!!!! Huuuuuge neil fan, saw him a couple years ago before fork in the road; would've been happy hearing anything that night but super stoked to see some le noise live. Anyone know if it's just neil or if he's gonna have the band there for some stuff? I'm guessing just neil since ben keith is a big hole for him to replace but solo neil would be fine too.

Gonna try to go to either Baltimore or Philly! Philly's only 2 hours from my school and it's on a Saturday, so a possible roadtrip could be in store!

Does anyone know if he has some sort of presale. What is the best way to buy tickets? I am trying to go to the show at the DPAC in Durham. My parents found out about this tour before I did; I'm feeling not so very cool right now, haha.

Nothing on Ticketmaster about the Cincinnati show yet :-( Not even anything on the venue's website. But based on other cities information it looks like about $100 for a cheap seat huh?

If I am going to see anyone at tower theater for $170 for good seats, I will wait for Ed.

I'd LOVE to see NY @ the Tower, but I agree with you, have to hold out for the Ed shows.

EV won't cost $170, and you are able to see NY for less than $170. In fact, you could almost see both for $170.

Bottom level for NY is $170 at Tower Theater. I'm not wasting my time sitting up top for $80+. Yes I know its a small venue.

I know EV won't be $170 but I am seeing 3 concerts(Bright Eyes, Tres Mountains and Social Distortion) in the next 3 months, so I would rather spend my extra money on EV over NY any day of the week. Not to mention I will be at PJ20 no matter what the cost.

Right now my plan is to sit in the crappy seats for NY, just to say I saw him once in my life :D . Then I'll see one EV show (considering the sets are the same each night) and then yes to PJ20 too!

i've seen neil at the tower twice, 97 and 07 i think (the year before the neil show at the spectrum with wilco) and it was worth every penny.

i'll be there with bells on. $160 isn't that bad.

Just got tickets to the Thursday Baltimore show!!!! My friend & I just want to be in the building so we bought the $80 seats. Figured it's a fair price for Uncle Neil and a 2300 person theater! Very excited!

I got the $99 tickets in the Amex presale and I got lower level, row A for the tower, which is halfway back there.
(It was $112 with fees I think)

I guess Neil did a presale through his email list and my friend got first row balcony for $69.

I guess the expensive tickets are only the first half of the floor, you can still get good seats for much less.

Anyone else get tix to either New York show? I had 13th row center seats in my cart but I just couldn't pull the trigger and pay that much. So now I am sitting at the top of the place but hey, that hundred bucks I saved will pay for a solo EV show.
