Hmmm....I've listened to it a few times but I'm really not sure about this one :( A little generic for my liking....and what happened to one of the best young lyricists in Britain?! Hopefully this isn't representative of the sound of album #4 as a whole. You might disagree though - have a listen....

I think it sounds really good. I would have never thought it was them, but still really good. Better than the little bit I've heard from their last album, too dark.

i like it (only listened to it once though). Sounds different than previous, maybe that's because alex isn't singing most of time. what been a huge arctic monkeys fan for awhile now.

    Looking forward to their album

Sounds like them, except the singer ... I'm guessing someone else in the band took lead vocals on this one, dare I say, someone that sounds a little Bowie-esque?

    Like it, don't love it.

    Suck It & See
Arctic Monkeys have named their new album 'Suck It And See', and will release it on June 6.

The album, their fourth, was produced by James Ford at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles. It features 12 new songs including 'Brick By Brick', which you can hear by scrolling down and clicking below.

The album will be the Sheffield band's first since 2009's 'Humbug', which Simian Mobile Disco man Ford also did some production work on, alongside Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme.

It will arrive just before the band's Sheffield Don Valley Bowl gigs, set for June 10 and 11.

The tracklisting of 'Suck It And See' is:

    'She's Thunderstorms'
    'Black Treacle'
    'Brick By Brick'
    'The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala'
'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair'
    'Library Pictures'
    'All My Own Stunts'
    'Reckless Serenade'
    'Piledriver Waltz'
    'Love Is A Laserquest'
    'Suck It And See'
    'That's Where You're Wrong'

After seeing them twice this week, I can safely say ... huge f'in mistake my friend.

And, there seems to be a certain bay area city missing from that AM tour list above ... :problem:

I heard they were sub-par here in SLC and lacking energy. But, I never really take anyone's opinion on something for the full effect. Gotta see it myself. Hopefully I'll have another chance.

Next show in jeopardy because of my radio gig is Mogwai. I'll be looking for a sub far in advance, I am not missing that shit.

Just read a review of the SLC DeVotchka show ... seems they had some technical difficulties with the venue, both with sound and visuals. Glad they hammered it out before San Fran.

My only complaint was that Nick did not use his big fat Gibson on The Enemy Guns ... see here for what was missing ...

He used a different guitar that just didn't have the same balls this song needs. Other than that, they were fantastic, including a second encore show ender, hugely intimate, lights up and heavily crowd involved version of "You Love Me" which gutted me.

These guys love San Fran ... always stop here for two shows. We have a Boston / Pearl Jam like relationship with DeVotchKa. :D

Wait, were we talking about Arctic Monkeys?

Sounds awesome. Very different than Brick by Brick but both are almost equally as good. I probably like brick a tad more.
