New-ish Mattress...?

Hey all, Friend of mine is moving and leaving almost
everything He asked me if I wanted his California King mattress set
less than 5 years old. What do you think? Is this iggy...??

    My wife and i slept on one once in a hotel, she was all the hell the way over there, it was great.
    As long as your puttin clean sheets on it.

    the other option is two full sized beds. gf always gets excited when we stay in a hotel with a pair of beds. :lol:

    I have a twin. My feet hang over the other end of the bed when I lay in it.

    Back in the day I had enough money for a mattress or a surf board. I found some stranger giving away a used bed and it made the decision easy ... Surfs up!

    on the flip side, think about when you stay in a hotel room. how many people have slept in the bed? and how knows what else they did in that bed. :lol:

    at least with this matress, you are only getting one couples left overs.

    which is why I often bring a sleeping bag and my own pillow to hotels :? I'm trying to outgrow this...but this thread has made me re-think that...

    i used to work with a lady that would take her own sheets and pillows.

    i for one can handle the risk. so long as they change the sheets after each stay, i'm cool with it.

    however, we have started lifting the mattress to check for bed bugs and the gf, being the semi germ a phobe wipes everything down before unpacking.

    OK..everyone can relax..I'm not taking it. he needs to have it gone tonight which I don't have the van with me or can I get a truck in time....

    I have my in laws old king bed, now thats icky!! but it was free and it is nice to have so much room. I put a mattress protector and wooly under lay on in so I wouldn't catch their cooties.

    How much is it worth? A friend of mine just bought a high quality king set for 1600 euro. If he offered it to me in the future i would take it. But if it's cheap and just big then no.
