Don't forget '95 after Vitalogy. Ed with Dave Grohl & Mike Watt Tour; the band with Neil Young on Mirror Ball + tour; Mike with Mad Season + tour. With all those side projects they were able to do 43 Pearl Jam show's http://www.pearljam.com/tour/shows/1995.

Do you NOT want this festival, a tour, a new album, etc? Personally, all this negativity only makes me stronger...

As bands grow together they also grow independently and develop other musical niches... they're just feeding their other musical interests through these solo endeavors.
  • they have always done side projects. You are making a big deal out of nothing.

I think I can sum up what the OP is feeling. Its kinda like having a best friend with a terminal illness. His health is failing. He is in and out of conciseness more and more untill the inevitable. During this time you are wishing you could have more quality time togeather. Then Poof.... The end. Its over. You close the casket and then say what now. :(

Sorry its late and this sounded better in my head. But I get what the OP is saying. I felt this way since Yield.
