Jb have been expensive for ages. When they first hit the market they dropped the price big time to kill the competition, now they got the market share, they jacked the price again. Same thing happened with bunnings.

I have found that big w beat everyone on price for CDs, DVDs and blu rays. Even xbox games. Of Aussie stores that is. I still get a lot of DVDs and blu rays from amazon.com for hell cheap. The other day I got the new edition of the hangover, the other guys and the 3 disc version of despicable me all on blu ray for $57 australian including shipping. Every store here I checked had them all for no less then $30 each, and despicable me was like $40 at jb.

Just checked cdwow, and they have some stuff for cheap, but I just looked at some powderfinger stuff and for some reason internationalist is $40, and the final tour DVD for $53. What the fuck. I can get it on blu ray for $23 everywhere else.

Pearl jam vs/vitalogy cd box is $63. That can't be right, it's only $29 from ten club.

Some CD's are under 10 bucks whilst some are $20 plus.
The under $10 albums I saw JB can never go that low!
I saw Tool albums for 15 whilst I saw them at JB for 10.
I guess you need to compare before buying.
I've always loved JB I hope they don't do a Sanity on us and charge $30 for albums.

they are not far off, most new release cds are about $24, sometime you get lucky and get them for $19, but i will never by another dvd or blu ray from jb, they are almost as expensive as sanity.

but i think alot of that stuff from cdwow is sourced from overseas, which is why some things are really cheap. from what i remember they are U.K based company, but have websites in different countries. there is a section on their site about region coding for games, cause they are normally selling the cheaper U.K pal games, or the non region locked NTSC games to aussies.
