Pearl Jam / Ed mentioned in TC Boyle book

Sorry in advance for the extreme randomness of the thread (or if it's old news), but I thought some of the freaks here might care: Pearl Jam and Ed are mentioned on separate occasions in TC Boyle's book A Friend of the Earth from 2000:

- Pearl Jam, in some random banter. Kurt is also mentioned on several occasions...

- Ed, when the main protagonist goes to the bathroom at his patron's (an aging pop star) house - the bathroom is full of music memorabilia, including a portrait of Ed, "all eyes and teeth" (must be one from the angry phase), which the guy turns to the wall, "so as to be able to conduct his business in peace". :roll: :lol: (The scene is set in 2025.)
