For the next album: Bring Stone back to the mic!

Saw Stone at the Living Room a couple of years ago and he was freaking amazing. I wouldn't mind him taking the mic every once in a while.

Jimmy Eat World is my second favorite band and they use Tom as a second vocalist both on albums and live really well. I could see PJ doing something like that. They've got two (at least) other vocalists in Jeff and Stone that are assets they should be leveraging, not ignoring.

That being said, I think other posters are right in that if not done correctly, it can potentially screw up the flow of the show or the album. I think we saw some of that with Backspacer. Just Breathe and The End are both beautiful songs, but they definitely belonged more on an Eddie Vedder solo album than on a Pearl Jam album, in my opinion.

Stone singing Don't Give Me No Lip in Cleveland May 20, 2006 was a HIGHLIGHT for me!

I think someone wrote down the idea of a WHITE ALBUM-like new PJ record a few months ago. Wouldn't that be great? A grab bag of epic riff rockers, weird psychedelic experiments, goofy novelty songs, acoustic masterpieces...and with every bandmember participating on one occasion or another...(yes I know, The Beatles had all 4 members singing lead on nearly every album, but you know what I mean)

Like when you put the following (already known) songs together - so this is my version of DISC 1 of PJs WHITE ALBUM (of already released songs)

    Of The Earth
    Faithful
    Nothingman
    Don't Gimme No Lip
    Man Of The Hour
    Who You Are
    Glorified G
    Let Me Sleep
    Spin The Black Circle
    Evil Little Goat
    God's Dice
    All Those Yesterdays

Pretty amazing if you ask me!! Consequently Foxymop would be their Revolution #9! That's the variety I'd like to see with their new material! And I'm all for a few goofy Stone rockers on there but I could totally picture him in one of his own ballads. :!: :!: :!:
