The summer came
And she ran away.
Footsteps washed away in the sand.
Flowers on the ground once held in her hand.

I kept no images in my head of us together.
Emotions changing with the weather.

Only once she came back to me.
In the midnight hour.
Angel at my window.
With the rain coming down.
She stayed a moment and left without a sound.

Just long enough to haunt my sleep.
Made a promise she can't keep.
But lifted me up off my feet.
Never gonna look for a way back down.
Down.
<b>Your light's reflected now,... reflected from afar...
We were but stones,... your light made us stars</b>
