    Just got tix to see them at the electric factory in Philly.
    The new single is ok, but they have set the bar high on the last three records...

    Got tix to see them in Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg. The place only holds 550 people! And I'm getting an autographed event poster. The new album is fantastic.

    Not as instantly hooky as Dear Science, which I think a pretty cool record. Not a huge fan of these guys, but they do have a pretty cool blend of sounds.

    Didn't go to the show tonight. :( During the day my nose was running, i was pretty tired and the weather here sucked, it was about 40 degrees and raining all day. Got home ate then fell asleep while watching tv. Woke up around 9:30 or so and nose was still running so I just decided to pass seeing them. Now if I had paid for the tix I probably would have gone but since I won them, didn't really matter. Looking forward to the album though :)

    Aww man, not a good call. These guys fucking rocked. The played a lot of the new stuff, that I had never heard before, and everything was GREAT! They noted song after song that "this is the world premiere." :D (it was the first show of the tour) The biggest highlight was Repetition, which had about a 3 minute finish of blasting away at lightning speed. Great live act, lots of charisma, and they were LOUD!!!

    Kyp Malone went to my high school. I knew his brother better. He was friends with one of my friends little sister's friends. Last time I saw him I asked who he was listening to and he told me Soundgarden. Next time I saw him was on the cover of Spin Magazine. I've wanted to see them live, but I haven't gotten myself out there yet.

    Yeah I know. I did see them there a few years ago for the Dear Science tour which was cool. I just felt like crap that night.

    They didn't hit the stage until 10:30, so that'd be kind of tough. I really wanted to hear Family Tree, but they weren't really feeling the soft stuff. :mrgreen:

    10:30!?!? WHat time were they supposed to take the stage?

    TM says they start at 9 tomorrow. I have a really long day on Wednesday so I don't want to be waiting around for them to take the stage all night.

    The tickets said 8:30. Wednesday's gonna be rough. Trust me I know - we've got a 6-month old (even though the show was on Friday night).

    The wait was even longer because the 2nd opener, Celebration, stormed off the stage after 5 or so songs for some reason (lighting or something like that).

    In the end it was well worth it. 8-)

    So finally had a chance to listen to it today. Another quality album by these guys. A little pissed now after hearing the album that i didn't go to the show :( Tracks that stood out for me were No Future Shock, Repetition, New Cannonball Blues and Caffeinated Consciousness.

    Just got it and I really like the vibe... a lot.

    Got to see them in Baltimore with Celebration. Both bands played a great show, kind of sad Celebration didn't get the credit they deserved from their hometown crowd. TVOTR played a great set mixing in the old with the new. Wish they would have played Second Song off the new album, one of my favorites.

    I wish they would play Stork and Owl. I've seen them 3 times and have yet to see this and it's my favorite song of theirs.
