What do you think?

I'm a Rhapsody subscribor (with an iPhone) and I think subscription music is the way to go in the future. I listen to all of my music via Rhapsody so even though I am hoping this does not happen I do think Apple is being a bit greedy. THey can do what they want and if this would go down I will have to change phones. Thoughts?

it's a business. they can make the rules, and if the rules drive people away, than the rules will change or the company will go kaput

I know and I agree with that but like I read someone else put it very well saying "This is like a phone company charging apple 30% for using their network."

i disagree with the network charging analogy.

it's more of a price elasticity issue. apple is trying to max profits and in doing so, they are trying to find the right price point.

i read the 30% thing a few days ago in regards to magazine sales. the magazine people had no problem with the 30% fee.

in this case, it may cause them to raise the total price from 10 to 13 per month.

just curious, you don't blow the 2 gig data limit streaming all your music? gf streams pandora all the time and was blowing thru the 2 gig level on a regular basis. currently at 1 gig for this month. must not be streaming as much this month. we have unlimited, so it doesn't matter.

but anyway you slice it, Android is a better platform.

Work pays for the phone so as for the streaming I am not sure. I would assume it's fewer than 2. I will take my business else where as I pay $14.95 a month for Rhapsody and you put it on up to three PC's/Laptop and 3 mobile devices. I can listen to any song I want at anytime, create my own play list (this works great for parties). They have almost the entire PJ bootlegs & Studio albums but do not have Back spacer or LOTL. Other noted bands that they do not have an agreement with are The Beatle, Led Z and the Chili Peppers. What I also like is that I do not take up any additional space on my hard drives or mobile device.
