    about the riff of alive, it is not so similar, or maybe is more legato de the one from pearl jam. For me sounds much more better alive. And for the solo the same. It is more expressive and if fits much more better the one from mcready.

    Probably he got the licks from there or from the doors, but it is very common.

    the one from cant keep maybe for me is more obvious, and for me given to fly is some kind of tribute to led zep.

    Donny played a Pete Townshend song in one of his All That's Sacred podcasts which was essentially the same melody and rhythm as "Soon Forget," but I can't remember the name of the Townshend song or which episode it was.

    eV's version was an obvious tribute when you hear them back to back.
