i was super excited for bright eyes, and it didn't let me down. the people's key is an incredible album.
i was also super excited for radiohead, and it kinda bored me. still haven't gotten back around to it after listening to it twice. certainly not a bad album, but it didn't thrill me either. same goes for talib kweli's gutter rainbows.
now i'm getting stoked for my morning jacket, wilco and whatever else suprises me.
pj harvey - let england shake is a really good album, as is kaput by destroyer.
also interested in the new panda bear as the o.p. mentioned.
I enjoyed The People's Key very much - peeps were praising it here, otherwise I wouldn't know about the album. Glad that I checked it out.

I really enjoyed two Bright Eye's records and I didn't like the other two I heard. Maybe I should give this new one a chance.
I was really looking forward to Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, My Morning Jacket, and a few others but I'm drawing a blank right now. The reason being is that after I saw two of their "secret" shows in which they played their new album in its entirety, I think the one that I'm most looking forward to now is Foo Fighters! Absolutely can't wait!
def MMJ and fleet foxes; dunno about wilco - i liked sky blue sky but the last album was terrrrible imo (tweedy needs to go back to being depressed...jk...but seriously)
from what ive listened to of new Foo "Rope" - it's fixing to be a good album - finally gonna get to see these guys live

I wasn't a big fan of Wilco (The Album) or Sky Blue Sky. But the other albums are all great. I don't know why but I feel the new one is going to be great.
Honestly, as much as I love PJ and Soundgarden, the release I'm looking the most forward to is Mark Lanegan's. Hopefully it will be this year. IT HAS TO!!
This is the one I'm really looking forward to. It's been waaaay too long!

Saw someone with RATM in their list...wtf? They're making music again?
The album I was most excited for came out already...The King of Limbs. Really, really good album. The rest of the ones I'm waiting for are:
Protest the Hero - Scurrilous
Between the Buried and Me - The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues (That album name...wow.)
Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
In Flames - Sounds of a Playground Fading (Another crap album title.)
(Possibly) QOTSA
(Possibly) Muse
Not a whole lot on my horizon at the moment. Hope that changes.
Thanks EPOTTSIII!

From Wikipedia: 2011-present: Untitled album
During an interview with the Chilean newspaper La Tercera in October 2010, Rage frontman Zack de la Rocha confirmed that a new album is in the works, with a possibility of a 2011 release. "We are all bigger and more mature and we do not fall into the problems we faced 10 or 15 years ago. This is different and we project a lot: we are working on a new album due out next year, perhaps summer for the northern hemisphere."

Haha...and definitely a RATM album, if its true (although I've heard this type of rumor for years. Zach's hip hop album with Def Jux is still "TBA" after literally 8-9 years). I guess I'll believe it when I see it.
2011 should be an awesome year nonetheless...

Watch the Throne (Jay Z and Kanye West) has been pushed back a little bit. :(
From Prefix: "We reported last month that Kanye West and Jay-Z's joint album, Watch The Throne, was almost done. According to engineer Young Guru, the record only needed a few "tweaks" before it could be finished and, you know, we could actually hear more than just "H.A.M." But now, another engineer working on the project, Mike Dean, has revealed that it might need to be mixed again after the first mix didn't sound so great. He also asserts that Watch The Throne is indeed nearly finished, though what that means for us remains up in the air."
