Searching for Live bootlegs is like searching for anything by Tool on eBay.

You could try searching for "+Live+"

dont know but I had to reply. My sister used to be OBSESSED with this band. We would go to Lancaster on "vacation" to stalk Ed Kowalczyck. We found their recording studio and even went to "the dam at otter creek".

Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi are such under rated albums. Mental jewelry was also very good.

I think their most underrated album is The Distance to Here. Fantastic.

My roommate during my freshman year of college ('94-'95) was from Lancaster, PA and he was obsessed with them too. He pretty much played nothing but their first two albums, and the tape they made in high school as "Public Affection". He said someone in the band's sister used to babysit him. Anyway, I wasn't a fan of their two singles at the time, Selling the Drama and I Alone... I'm still not really... but somehow I think the rest of that album is great. I saw them a few times in 1995 in some random towns in PA... they kicked ass and had some kickass openers too... Veruca Salt, PJ Harvey, Sponge... crazy moshing in those days... good times!! I too saw "the Dam at Otter Creek" due to my roommate's pilgrimage.

I just saw Ed Kowalczyk in Stowe, VT on 3/6/11. Place held 400 and only 80 showed up due to blizzard. Leigh Nash from Six Pence and Emerson Hart from Tonic opened. Ed was awesome. He played a bunch of Live tunes. I sat front and row center and he mentioned the set was like him singing in his living room. He also came out and spoke (as he was sipping whiskey) to us after the show and signed the set list for me. I strongly recommend seeing his Open Wings Broken Strings tour as he was fantastic. Hate that Live is no more but he is still a great artist.

haha, she's definitely not the only one, because the sign that you see on the back of the Throwing Copper album that says "Otter Creek Picnic Area" had been stolen... all that was there when I got there was the post and you could tell that the sign had been ripped off it. according to my roommate, this sign had been stolen several times. I wonder if they ever bothered putting it back after all that... if there is a sign now, it's probably a metal one. i still have a picture of me leaning on the post, as well as a picture of me standing on the "dam" which was really just a bunch of rocks laid out across the creek. it wasn't preventing the water from flowing thru it. i'm sure the dam referred to in the song was something different, if it ever existed.

it's still an awesome song... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-N5moceYXmI
