What do you all think about this ?
when I was in high school 75-79 this would have never happened, I wrestled for 1 year and that would have been taboo not that it would have bothered me but times they are a changing.

If a girl wants to wrestle, then let her wrestle. If guys don't like it thats their problem. Not all girls are delicate little flowers that need protecting. Met plenty of the female species that would kick my ass.
  • I got no issues with that.
  • I'm not sure what bothers me the most.

Maybe an arena full of people cheering as a teenage boy wrestles a girl onto her back and pins her?

Or the fact that he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't... if he beats her, he pinned a girl.... if he doesn't, he gets to be shamed by everyone that a girl beat him.

I'm totally not comfortable with it. If we have separate men's and women's skiing, surfing, tennis, golf and figure skating, we need separate men's and women's boxing, wrestling and change rooms.

Yeah, when I played rugby, we sometimes practiced against the girls teams... The coach (due to the smaller size of the girls) basically said 'anyone who takes out a girl and stands up and celebrates is a pussy'. The same instructions were given to the varsity team when they practiced against us (I was playing JV).

If I was in a game and I saw a girl running down the field with the ball, would I launch into her as hard as I would a guy? I really don't know.

    CONservative governMENt

Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a law-breaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. - Louis Brandeis
