    Hmmmmmm.....

Interesting that Minneapolis is on the list. I live in the 'burbs, but I've never felt that this was a dangerous place or anything.

    Also, this is interesting.

Likewise, Anchorage, Alaska, and Abilene, Texas, which are not among the cities with the most overall crime, still had the second- and third-highest rates of forcible rapes in 2009, behind No. 1 Minneapolis.

I didn't know that was a problem here, and I am unaware of anyone that has had that happen. Yes, yes, I know there are a lot of people here, but I haven't even heard of a friend of a friend or any such.

Surprised Atlanta is that far up on the list when Washington DC isn't there. Miami I can understand they appear to drink too much which may lead to violent crimes.

I knew St. Louis had to be rough when I was watching a Blues game and the police commissioner was in a commercial begging the residents not to fire their guns into the air on New Years. :D

Detroit is rough, but the whole state for Florida has to lead in "most bizarre crimes".

All the nuts roll down to Florida.

Not in the world, was just kidding but in Australia, that's what they say anyway. There was even an ad for Dexter with him waiting for a flight toIt's only a small place though and I think that's why but we have had some pretty horrific murders. Heres the ad:

Here's a bit of our history too:
    http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/seri ... ses_1.html

Oh my gosh! Which reminds me, my friend saw a young girl nearly pulled into a car the other day! She screamed and the bloke took off, luckily. She called the cops but they reckon there is nothing they can do because he didn't actually take her!!!!!!!!!! What a world hey? :?

I noticed that people in NYC were a lot nicer than people in Vancouver when I was there in 2005. It was kind of scary but I'm guessing it had to do with some construction that went on in 2001...

im not gonna go ballistic over the construction comment...but that wasn't too cool

Kind of hard to be PC when it comes to that topic. It was a tragedy and seemed to make people in that city nicer.

I was on 85th st day of, years before, and years after. New Yorkers haven't changed, they were always that way.
