When you do good, selfless stuff it really does make you feel so good!
I go to school at the University of Maryland, and in the state of Maryland we are just a few days away from the vote on a 2 bills- one that will ensure equal marriage rights and one that will protect against gender identity discrimination. Through my school and the grassroots organization Equality Maryland, me and about 12 or so others called people who live in a district where their delegate is on the fence, and encouraged them to make a call to their delegate to tell him to support the bills. This campaigning for equal rights happens every week and now my friend and I are going to try and participate every week! Speaking directly to people, I feel like I have really helped made a difference, no matter how small, and it feels good
