i hate sushi but i recently feel in love with dylan. the article sums up my feelings i have been having about him. the times they are a-changin' freewheelin' nashville skyline are must have albums.
  • Nice little article. I liked this: "it often takes only one song or one album, heard at just the right point in our lives, to be won over for life." I totally agree.. to some, Dylan might be an acquired taste, but while we're comparing him to food, to any connoisseur he's a must, right? Nice find :D
  • No more and no less than the greatest songwriter that ever lived. The only other entertainer with his mastery of the English language was George Carlin in my mind.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

I am passionate about both sushi and Dylan, so I concur with this essay :D .

That jumped out at me too. I saw him live twice before I became a true, dedicated devotee and I really don't remember the exact moment that happened or even what song/album it might have been.
But, yes, any connoisseur of music should definitely be familiar with Dylan.
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

So true. After I first started getting into Dylan he was in my 'top ten' favourite artists for years, but probably near the bottom. Then over time I realised that he was sticking in there whilst I lost interest in others, and started listening less and less. There's so much depth and output that you can digest him for years and years - so he's stuck around for me, and I think there will always be occasions over the whole of my life where nothing will hit the spot but some proper Bob Dylan listening. I would say he is one of the greatest artists of our time, in any artform.
