Hello fellow 10c jammers..

This story i want to share with you all..

My dearest girlfriend is somebody i know for 10 years and she lives in a mental institution because of Borderline syndrom,Adhd syndrom and a alcohol addiction.
Most of the time she has changing moods that can grow into aggression sometimes..
A couple off years ago i let her hear a cd from Pearl jam and she started crying when she heared Eddie sing and was realy coming to a calm state of mind and is a great fan ever since.We visit the Dutch gigs always togheter ever since.
Every Sunday i visit her and take all kinds of Pearl jam music and dvd s with me and she wanna see them all day long.We also talked about the 10c club and how much that also meant for me aswell.
I said its a warm,loving and tender family that realy is awesome and has people on the same level

She asked me to put this story down and needs some loving words from the community as well
I am taking my laptop to her on Sunday and let her see what has come up and some tlc from you will bright up her day....Then she will see what the 10c is all about

    Very sweet story, I'm happy you shared that with us. Music is a very calming influence, Pearl Jam especially can put anyone into a nice relaxed state, if the right songs are played. Keep up the good work. Much love from the USA (by way of Canada)

    Except for Borderline Personality Disorder, my brother is in the same situation, he has ADHD and listens to Bob Dylan to calm his nerves but sometimes the drinking gets the best of him.

    I'm so glad that you listen to Pearl Jam and have found Eddie's voice soothing and that it makes you feel good. Music is a powerful thing and it conveys so many more feelings that just talking can.
    We have a great community here, all of us have one thing in common, we love Pearl Jam....would we have met each other any other way? Maybe, maybe not. I think it is so wonderful that all this love and generosity for each other crosses from continent to continent, all over the world. I feel closer to the people I have met here than people that I worked with for 5 years! :o

    Thanx for all your wonderfull and verry meaningfull postings here...
    Its means a whole lot especialy for her because she has never seen the forum here and all she knows is what i tell her about the true people that it contains...
    Sunday its her first look and it be a tearjerker for her and i know for sure it means the world to her..

    i guess 10c will be her second love...and who can blame her??

    Glad that you find peace and happiness in PJs music, happy that their music is helping you
    I know that the music has gotten me through some of the hardest times ever
    you both sound like a very happy, beautiful couple, lucky to have each other.
