Not sure if this has been covered but apparently Rage Against The Machine is working on a new album.

This is interesting news, it will be cool to see what the new stuff sounds like after all this time. I didn't see anything posted about this anywhere so my bad if it's already been discussed.

From Wikipedia; the link is in Spanish.

    2011-present: Untitled album
During an interview with the Chilean newspaper La Tercera in October 2010, Rage frontman Zack de la Rocha confirmed that a new album is in the works, with a possibility of a 2011 release. “We are all bigger and more mature and we do not fall into the problems we faced 10 or 15 years ago. This is different and we project a lot: we are working on a new album due out next year, perhaps summer for the northern hemisphere.”[66]

I can't wait for this if it is true. I was hoping they were working on something. Everything they put out is amazing.
  • It's been a long time since their last album, they have a lot of material to potentially cover....Bush, 9/11, the Iraq war, Obama, etc etc etc.

Don't forget about new subjects like needing reading glasses, prostate exams, and eating healthier. ;) Yes, it has been a while since the last album. :D

  • funny how Audioslave breaks up and both factions are back with their previous bands. if it ain't broke, don't fix it, gents! (although, I really liked the first audioslave record).

Yeah the first one was great but it went downhill pretty quickly after that.

The original bands broke up for a reason but things chnage over time. It's gonna be interesting to find out if they both still 'got it'

I think a new RAGE album will be pretty spectacular to be honest. I saw them last summer they are amazing live.

A band that MUST be seen live.... For me, it's just not the same listening to them in my living room!

Agreed. I was blown away by Audioslave when I saw them in 2005. Nothin' to do with Cornell just the three band members were on fire to use a tired phrase. People left that place with their jaws on the floor and since then I really wanted to see RAGE as a group. I hope I get another oppertunity to do so.
  • hopefully I'll get the chance. never came here the first go round.
