I was looking at the http://www.tattooedeverything.com website, and I came across this picture

http://www.tattooedeverything.com/images/Ott1.JPG

I feel like a noob for asking, but I thought if anybody could help, you guys could.

How is this tattoo Pearl Jam related, exactly?

  • Yield era, baby.
    Yield era.
    ;)

[edit: what i really wanna know: how did that guy end up with so much hair on his face, and none on his chest\nipple ?]
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
  • Thank you very much! I wondered about the tattoo the first time I saw the site, and I just went back and saw it again and it made me think more.

    Glad I finally know :]

Was this a rhetorical question? In any event if it was a genuine question the answer may be that because the skin near the upper portion appears to be a little red or otherwise irritated the tattoo may be relatively new and thus the area recently shaved!

I sometimes hate the ambiguity of typed questions and sometimes the sarcasm is lost on me. So if this was rhetorical I apologize but I didn't want to be able to provide an answer but not deliver to a fellow PJ fan!

I was about to answer the question the same if you hadn't.

I got that shirt at my very 1st PJ concert. It's still barely holding on.

Finally, I am not havin to post links to half naked pictures of myself. Good looking out. But, yes, a Yield era PJ shirt. And a razor to answer the other question.

im thinking about another pj tatt - wondered about the no code bar code to keep running with my little no code obsession - that one is nice tho, would look good running from the topside of the foot round and up the ankle ...

and i have that t too - run across it in a second hand store somewhere along the line, bout it resewed it (it was bloody huge) and now its a gym shirt (sorry pj) but its a mighty cool one ;)

id like to come up with a decent sized pj theme to cover up another tatt i got years and years ago- would need to be fairly big tho; at least 15x10inch, and just black ink

Someone else here was considering it. BTW, do you have yours filled in? I have been going back and forth on whether or not to put someting in the birds. From colors to represent the elements, to element symbols, to five letter words or five word phrases-I can't decide what to do. Or maybe fill it in with black, or simply leave them. What are yours like (I won't run to the studio and copy ya-promise!!)? And to everyone else, any interesting suggestions?

i think everyone here with pj tatts is already on that site

id do them black - simply because it ages better than colour if done right imo

putting element symbols inside the birds might be overkill but thats just my opinion.

I can't wait until i go and get my yield sign on my back, been saying it for a while, just have to finally go do it!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

  • Make that three people who have the tattoo of the birds from the Yield t-shirt. They're going up that back of my left leg. I'll try and post some pics here. Also have the stickman (duh), the beetle from the '95 tickets, the red mosquito from the VHC starter kit, the arm outstretched from the "reach" t-shirt (riot act i think) and a quote from not for you. i'll try and upload some pics either here or tattooedeverything.com

my birds are not filled in either. I've thought about getting them in all black or some cool fading, but haven't touched them in the years ive had them. Mine are a little different becasue i adjusted the size of the birds from the shirt. So the bottom bird is the smallest and they get bigger as you go up my arm...

again, that gets me thinking, bigger on the top of the foot, getting smaller up & round the ankle - lighter at the bottom gradiating as it moves further up - tis a nice idea , but i also like my tatts to be a bit unique to me (ala the million stick men inked out there - and no offence to anyone sporting one ;) ) - will have to see how persistently this one demands to be heard; and how do you two feel about a chicka across the world having a similar design??

doesn't bother me one bit ;) If there were 300 people with it I'd be pissed, but 3 people, that's kinda cool. Specially since were all on the pit!! Im gonna try and find a pic of mine to post...
