Adult wombats look like guinea pigs that somehow grew to the size of bear cubs. Too cute, except that last picture. Was that a young Nosferatu?

skunks are one foul smelling animal. we get them in our hood and can sometimes smell them in the summer. disgusting.

one day last fall the stink was in the house in the AM. it was still there when i got home that night. had to open the windows and turn on the attic fan for 30 minutes to get that shit out.

than if you pass a dead one in your car, you have to roll down your windows to get the stink out.

    foul creatures.

Ever had skunk slobber all over your hand? Well, I have now. Good times.

What is the most venomous snake in the world?
hydrophis belcheri, aka, sea snake but they can't bite very well and are lost in the ocean. they have tiny mouthes like a coral snake. perhaps a sea snakes also has fangs in the back of its mouth like a coral snake. im sure it would be rare to be bitten by either one.

    taipan... Oxyuranus Microlepidotus

Murphy is a beautiful Lorikeet, my goodness her colors are specimen perfect!
Precious, little feet in the second picture there

    I got a thing for birds :D

I'm glad your intuition kicked in and she is safe with a happy ending.
and hopefully that is the end of snakes!

Thanks! :D Nawww I love her little feet too! haha

It was so strange that I got up to check her....even my bf who was had just fallen asleep 15 minutes earlier kept saying when we got her out "Why did you get up....was she squawking?". But no she wasn't. I just heard a bang (which definitely wasn't out of the ordinary) and KNEW I had to get up and check! And I KNEW as I was walking over to her that there was a snake in her cage....before I even saw it. Very very strange.
I believe in guardian angels and you are Murphys! :D
She may one day be yours and alert you to danger...I love that!

I've been told by a snake catcher who caught a BIG snake (photo below) that was trying to eat my sister's bird to bag any caught snakes and let them go "many" suburbs away because now that the snake knows the bird is there, it will keep coming back.

Well Mr Snake Catcher was correct.........the fucker just came back and got in the cage again. My bf woke up this time after he heard a bang. He had his arm in there tring to get Murphy out and the snake was striking at her and he could see one strike hit her feathers. She seems fine though....she's in the bedroom with us again. We couldn't capture or kill the stupid fucking them either.

    Makes me angry. :x

Wow! That's just crazy! That snake is on a mission. To eat your pet bird. Set up a video camera or something. It would be cool to watch that snake sneak in. Not cool if it ate your bird. I would not be able to sleep at night. I lived in a spider infested apartment for a year. Many sleepless nights and freaking out.
