Randomly meeting other PJ fans

The thread about spotting a PJ fan at the gym reminded me of my most random meeting of a PJ fan. Last year when I was getting off a commercial flight in Detroit the pilot stood in the cockpit door greeting the deplaning passengers. He was holding one of those black cases they carry, and it was covered in PJ stickers. I had to ask "Is Given to Fly your favorite tune?" He laughed, said "No, Tremor Christ".

my favorite is when im wearing one of my pj shirts and im at the store or something and you see a fellow fan in a shirt and you just give the silent nod.

So funny you just posted this...was at Medieval Times just last night with a big group of people for a friend's birthday and was near a guy in a PJ20 hoodie, so when I was walking by I just said, "Nice shirt, man". Haha, always good to randomly run into people with great taste in music

with my PJ plate I get a lot of waves and thumbs up and honks

even in parking lots sometimes and when work men come to the house
I meet a lot of people you wouldn't maybe guess were fans

I just got my new frig delivered and the delivery guy saw my plate
he was a PJ fan :clap:

A dude last year that delivered my couch was wearin a Riot Act tour shirt. Said he loves PJ but had never seen them live! ( go figure). So i gave him two MSG boots from the 08 tour and told him he needs to see them live the next chance he gets.

I was stopped in traffic on Mercer and noticed the driver in the car behind me taking a photo. I'm trying to think back to what I might have done, cut them off or some such thing. Next I know the driver gets out and comes up to my car saying that is my favorite song!

The license plate on my MINI is MFC.

Thinking back to that pilot. . . I bet he gets to travel to LOTS of shows. That's the job I need. I think I'll get a job as a PILOT !

Two of my best friends I met through my brother are huge PJ fans, we all met Ed together and got to chat with him in 2000 for an hour.

I don't fit my old shirts that I have so I can't find out who the real fans are down here.

That's always cool. We all did that at Neil Young last year. Saw like 12 people wearing PJ shirts throughout the venue.

I have a menagerie of PJ decals on my car and a bumper sticker that says "I don't want to think. . . I want to feel". Over the summer I was driving south on 96 outside of Detroit and a car pulls up next to me honking its horn and the driver was sticking out her tongue and giving me the rock on sign.

It absolutely made my day.

Sold my old car to a college student a few months ago. He liked my old PJ bumper sticker. I wondered if that influenced his decision to buy the car. I thought about telling him the price was an extra $100 with that sticker! (j/k)

Nice!! I was the one who posted the meeting the PJ fan at the gym. It gave me such a thrilling feeling, because it's like an unspoken something that you feel when you see someone that has the same passion. A couple of months ago I was driving near home and I was behind a minivan...yes, a minivan, but a cool minivan and it had a sticker that look so familiar and by chance I got behind it and it was the Eddie Vedder pose (the one that was used for the Eddie solo tour) and I was like "what the hell" how did that person get that sticker!! But it was neat feeling that there was someone just as passionate about Pearl Jam as I am.
I thought about having my license plate read "BttrWmn" instead of Better Man mine would be Better Woman.

Anyway, I'm happy to see so many cool Pearl Jam fans!!

Not counting PJ shows, or pre-parties, I have never ran into a PJ fan like us all. I have seen a few wearing the stickman shirt and then strike up a conversation, and then find out they don't really follow the band at all, they just like Ten. Maybe someday it will happen, it probably has something to do with where i have lived the last 24 years.
