Anyone else besides me love this song? It's #9 on Viva La Vida and possibly the best along with Cemeteries of London.

Chris Martin himself stated that it's arguably the best song on the album. I can listen to it over and over and not get sick of it!

I just listened to it for the first time. I am not impressed but it reminded me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWf8OC0xosE or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ew6ftTQhaM. And that "Cold, Cold Water" line reminded me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLyHHwDXw5Y. Loulou, I know you're out there... ;)

Viva La Vida is a cool album! I love Life in Technicolor especially the version with lyrics.

You are not impressed, yet it reminds you of 2 great Pearl Jam songs? Okay, that doesn't really make any sense.
  • I absolutely love this song. Probably my favorite off Viva La Vida, which I think is a very good album. This song has such an infectious melody and vibe too it, I can't help but smile. Reminds me of summer.

I don't understand why you cannot simply accept without comments a different opinion than yours. By "it reminds me, I mean that it seems like they have ripped off the rhythm, the melody and maybe the lyrics in Cold, Cold Ground's case. Probably, you are not going to like my post again because you are so biased. Obviously you like Coldplay. It's OK with me.

Easy there pal. I can accept your comments, no problem. Just found them a little strange. But, as the old saying goes, you can't argue taste!

The funny thing is that I like them too. Especially, their early work (Parachutes and A Rush Of Blood To The Head). I just said that when I listened to it the first song that came to my mind was Who You Are. Then, In My Tree and after that Tom Wait's Cold, Cold Ground because of the "Cold, Cold Water" line. I really don't want to imply anything, but maybe they took some inspiration from the aforementioned songs. I don't know. I'm just saying.

  • Have loved this song since the album came out, this one or "Death And All His Friends" are a toss up for me as favorites from that album...and "Glass of Water" off the "Prospekt's March" EP, but I always thought of the 2 as pretty much 1 album.

Rainy Day off Prospekts March is awesome too.
