Re-connecting with former school students on facebook...

I found my former classmate on facebook who was in my home class from year 7 all the way till the last year of high school.
She always had a crush on me but I was always too shy to go out with her mainly because I cared too much what others think (still do). Students going out with other students were always teased, and this girl was made fun of (called surfboard) because she didn't have big boobs in school.
I haven't seen her since we finished high school (9 years ago nearly) but she still looks cute to this day.
Should I request her to add me as a friend or is that creepy?
It is Valentines day tomorrow, perhaps she can mend this lonely heart (if she is still single)....

valid point.
Yeah I say do it today (Sunday) or Tuesday but avoid Monday so that when she rips your heart out and leaves you dying on the road you will not be reminded every Valentines as the day that you reconnected with her ... and on that cheery note
Happy Valentines Day
Ouch!
I just read the plot on wikipedia.
lol I don't think it would go that bad.
Kids are way too harsh.
Go for it....

And as for catfish, that was a total stranger he met on facebook, not someone he actually knew, so it's a little hard to bullshit that hard with someone you knew, all be it 9 years ago. But catfish was honestly some crazy shit. But seeing as you read wiki, you have now ruined it and it's probably not worth watching. It is a good dock/film though.

I just read the gist of this film and it sounds creepy and bizarre :? However, strange people are out there and will do anything so long as they are hiding behind a screen name on the internet.
Back to the OP, I think you should go for it and add her as a friend since you went to school together. I think she'd remember you and add you and take it from there. Good luck.
I wanna race..with the sundown..I want a last breath..I don't let out...
I would never accept those who gave me a hard time in high school facebook as friends.
No idea, haven't seen her since 2002.
Size does not matter to me.
my profile is private, you cannot even find me on search
I don't want to be found, I just got my friends and family on my list.
So she doesn't have the customary shelf shot holding the camera high to show a bit of cleave as her profile pic? I guess that's a plus.
I do tend to worry too much about what others think.
I should learn to shut them out.
Agree with this. Just send her some messages asking hows she is doing, what she is doing now ect and maybe just work up to meeting for a drink somewhere (if she's still local). You never know you might hit it off, you might not but the worst thing would be to spend your life regretting not at least giving it a go.
'Nothing ventured, nothing gained'
If your profile is so private that you can't be found on a search, how do you know SHE hasn't been looking for YOU! Facebook is creepy, that's just the way it is. I say do it or forever remember that time that you had the opportunity to meet this girl and then chickened out.
I used to go into computer labs at my old college and sit down next to girls I saw were looking at facebook and wait until they went to their own page, look at their names, and then add them while I was sitting right next to them, just to see what their reaction would be. It was funny every time and I was never hit with a restraining order, to boot.
Have fun in life, if she finds you creepy, then she obviously wasn't the right one for you.
Still considering it.
