One of the highlights of my day today was meeting a PJ fan at the gym. I was working out with my trainer when I saw this guy with the Stickman tattoo and as soon as I had a chance I said how cool his tattoo was. He then asked me if I knew the meaning of it, and Hello! of course I knew... we talked for a few minutes, but my trainer gave me the look of "you haven't finished your session yet!".. I hope to talk to him again! :-) We speculated on where the 20th bash will be. He thinks it'll be in Chicago... I really hope so, but then again, I don't mind where it will be because we will be there!! :-)

you make it sound like a bad thing that people have the same love
    least they arent butterflies
    or dolphins

    or worse
    barb wire arm bands
makes much more sense to live in the present tense

no. here's what im saying. I have zero tattoos. Ive often thought about getting one. And if i got one, it would probably be a pearl jam tattoo. The stickman is the usual go to for PJ tattoos. But tattoos are for life and should be your own.

A stickman is better than a barbed wire tattoo. But i can think of better, more original pj tattoos than that

    to each their own

my first 13 years ago was the alive man
now i have 5 pearl jam tats in total
    2 is artwork
the other 3 are inspired by pearl jam i guess youd say

and for a tattoo thats 13 years old...
if i could get a time machine and given the choice to do it the same or change it

i would leave it the same

i think its awsome that its something thats easy to identify with
i see other alive man tats
    and sometimes theirs polite nods
    sometimes theirs high fives
other times theirs been 5 hour long conversations over beers at pubs

i thank my sister every day for the best present anyone ever gave me
makes much more sense to live in the present tense

LOL. For the longest time, I thought the stickman tattoos were required to get on the floor at PJ shows. One of my favourite parts of a PJ concert is watching all the stickman tats file into the first 5 rows after the opening act is done.

  • On the first day of one of my college classes, our professor asked us to write our name on a piece of paper and make little symbols around it that you can identify with. I wrote my name and drew a huge stickman. He asked me what it was (as if he had no idea), and as I started to explain, he pulled up his pant leg and had his own stickman tattoo on his calf. I think for the first time I might have been speechless. Needless to say, he has remained my favorite professor! :D

Wow...that sure is a great story!

I agree with what someone said, that tattoos are such a personal thing, and I do not have a tattoo (although I give plenty at work) but the thought crosses my mind once in a while about getting one, and it would be a Stickman tattoo.
