Will PJ ever play Fenway Park in Boston, MA?

I would love to see PJ play Fenway Park. Boston is a frequent stop on the band's tours and concerts at Fenway are a common thing these days. There certainly are a lot of supporters of this idea. I have personally heard from many area fans. Also, it's a well known fact that General Manager of the Boston Red Sox Theo Epstein is an old school fan.
Perhaps scheduling has been an issue. The ball park does host 81 plus baseball games a year along with many charity events. Maybe the two parties just haven't been able to sync up? Why do you think this hasn't happened yet? Will it ever happen?

Pearl Jam Fenway Park concert possible
A Pearl Jam Fenway Park concert could be in the works.
Boston Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein, an avowed Pearl Jam fan and friend of the band, was asked about the possibility of a Pearl Jam Fenway Park concert yesterday during a question-and-answer session with fans and the media.
"As soon as they start playing ballparks, we'll be first on the list," Epstein said, according to Boston.com.My Pearl Jam Fan Videos

I hope they never play there! It's a gimmick venue for concerts, Pearl Jam cares about the sound of their music and Fenway is a shit place for sound! Give me a Gah-den show or Mansfield show instead.0

You know, I never really thought about it that way. I see what you're saying. There's definitely a novelty factor. But being that I'm a lifelong Red Sox fan, Fenway is very special to me. I am certainly bias and I see it as more of an honor. Combining two things that I love so much is hard to resist. Even if it is at the cost of some of the audio value. Acoustically, places like the Garden and Comcast are superior. But, I've seen both The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney play Fenway and it wasn't bad at all. Besides, playing an open air venue like Fenway can't be any worse than say, the set up at Bonnaroo. And they sounded pretty good there.0

if you look at the proposed permit, it is for 3 days, from 5-10:30 PM each day... hard to tell if this is more of a festival type show...37 PJ Shows, 3 EV Shows, 1134 Total Songs, 24 Different Openers, 9 Different Closers, 252 Unique Songs (never enough)0
