(Now not wanting to toot my own horn)

But drunk and wanting to go home, in a taxi I said

'I'm thinking of stopping off at a 7/11, have you ever had a slurpee before?'

'No' he replies....

So we stopped off and I bought him a slurpee.... His reaction was priceless. He said,

' this small gesture means so much to me, much more than a $50 fare....

The moral of the story is, something small may impact on someone greater than you may think......

AS Homer would say Fourfteen % of taxi drivers are con-artists... But his reaction was genuinely special. it only cost me around $2, but he was touched....made it worthwhile

The fucker still charged me full fair but :lol::lol:

And I have plenty of taxi stories.... I could write a book about them.....

That was mighty kind of you.

I'm a slurpee junkie, I fucking love those things on a hot day
  • Shit I'd give you a ride in my car for a free Slurpee.

And how does a person never experience a Slurpee? Blasphemy!

They are *THE* best after a PJ show. I'm always dying of thirst after I see 'em. Coke and Cherry, layered.

And that was a very nice gesture indeed :) I like giving random compliments to strangers, it makes them smile and confused lol

We have had a 7/11 put in recently nearby... They are the best..... Changing flavours regularly....

Last night was tangy orange, there has been blue lemonade, citric strawberry, passionfruit, coke, rasberry, sour apple, wild berry and lemon lime and bitters..... mmmm...

    Could go one now,

And yes, It is a I've had a few too many drinks.... I'm still drunk at 9.14 am....

That's a really nice story - good on you for brightening someone else's day (and slurpees are delicious, but I'll wait till the snow's over to have another one).
