    It is a career that entails a lot of work from the lawyer you will be shadowing. It's a great place to be successful, law. But you'll pretty much have to check your empathy at the door depending on the area of practice you delve into.
    You can contribute to a lot of change if that's your thing and that is always in itself rewarding.
    Go for it !!
    I speak from my good friends wife being a paralegal and a few years away from practicing law herself.
    She loves it.
    She also says that it is a very sexual atmosphere, the world of law, with tones of innuendo's and you have to have thick skin to survive.

    Thanks for the advice, zarocat. Its really alot to think about. I was telling someone else earlier that my son takes top priority for me, and right now I don't see how him and that mix too well down the road, but you never know. There really are so many other jobs that are right for me. I think I'm just having a hard time deciding.
