I don't think that I can stand it

blood and skin both crawling
blood slowing, pulling skin haulting
what I feel moves only hesitantly
pulling and creeping
started with just an illusion
turning to real
the pulse in my neck
and in my arms especially
the opposite of chills
I sense something might just stop
something just might give
holding back becomes my habit
I never feel the bite
of what's not there

"'what should I do for you?"

the push and the pull
and the push and the pull
and the push and the pull
that stopping
would be the start
I imagined
that you imagining
what my visions see
would be what you could do for me
but because this is not yours
nor yours to be
there's nothing
you can do for me

blood stops
but the skin is freed
