Depends on what you mean "reference" as any Jackie Chile appearance is technically a Johnny Cochrane reference which is only relevant because his work on that case, but I digress...

-Kramer sues because his coffee is too hot
-The O'Henry Candy Bar Heiress bra trial
    -Gendeson

Those are the only references I can think of...

I wasn't really thinking of Jackie when I asked the question, but yeah, that could be a reference. But you got the two correct that I was looking for: Gendeson and the O'Henry Candy Bar Heiress bra trial.

Good question. Van Buren is the obvious one. Does JFK count as one, as they spoofed the magic bullet theory?

Oh yeah, JFK was mentioned in more than 1 episode - probably more than any other President.

I forgot about Van Buren. Can you think of one more?

I took a Popular American Music in the Twentieth Century class last fall and I started laughing when we talked about Al Jolson. That scene immediately came to my head.

I also love what Kramer has to say about Sergio Mendez. "He can't even use the bathroom in South America."

Newman's rant on junk mail is glorious: "Well, there really is no junk-mail...well, everybody wants to get a check or a birthday card, but it takes just as much man-power to deliver it as their precious little greeting cards..."

    Great question.

One is when, I believe George and Jerry, were going to see the movie Prognosis Negative. Another was when Elaine was dating the fat artist and when he came down with something (I can't remember what it was), she said "prognosis negative."

    I don't remember a third time. I'm sure it's obvious.

You nailed the first two big ones. The question probably was a little misleading; the other I was thinking of is during The Pilot and George has a slight discoloration and he gets the results as "negative prognosis" And he freaks out thinking it's bad. I'm not certain they say the word "prognosis" though, so I sbouldve reworded it. Its clear that's what they're talking about and given that those episodes are all from season 4, there's a clear "thing" the writers had that season with "prognosis negative, negative prognosis" etc. Haha!

I watched this exchange the other night,

Elaine: You know, just saying a man is attractive doesn't make you a homosexual.
    George: It doesn't help!

My wife and I had a good laugh at that one. We hadn't seen that episode in a while.

I think that partly had to do with a movie Larry wrote back in the '80s called... "Prognosis Negative."
