You’re right. He’s credited on IMDB as being in season 9’s The Bookstore, as ya see below, but I just skimmed through the episode on Netflix to confirm and I couldn’t find him.

I'll have to see that Episode again.

I always use to notice, what I called "Backround Guy", so I was curious how many episodes he appeared in.

I always chuckle when they use the same actor for every doctor role in the series.

I am at JFK awaiting a flight to Costa Rica. Whenever I come here and am on the Van Wyck I always think of Elaine hustling that guy back to Seattle.

This hour-long roundtable with Larry and the cast is great and worth watching if you’ve never seen it. And they joke for a few minutes about that doctor.

But Jerry and gang never had the luxury of taking the commuter rail to the glorious air train!

How many of the episodes wouldn’t have worked in the age of cell phones?

This is a fun, exploratory kind of question. A couple plots that came to mind are....

-George trying to replace his girlfriend's answering machine tape.

-George waiting for a call at the Chinese Restaurant (Cartwright!)

-People trying to use Movie Phone but getting Kramer instead.

-One of my favorites, Elaine's "romance" with Vincent. She'd just stream the movies instead of rent them from the store. And even without that, she and Vincent would probably just communicate via text.

-Lupe throwing out Jerry's notes. He'd probably put them in his phone.

-Anything where they can't find each other. "The Movie" episode for example. "The Parking Garage" being another assuming the garage has cell service.

    And probably many, many more.

Speaking of Lupe - the hotel I am in now has the sheets tucked way too tight. Did George ultimately decide to go with tucked or untucked?

He asked for untucked, but she tucked them....much to Jerry's delight.

The Movie Phone storyline...imagine what a 20 year old kid is thinking watching that today. "You have to call an 800 number just to get movie times?!"

I agree with Mookie, I think it would be extremely difficult to find even one episode that would work in modern times. I guess the same can be said for most shows before cell phones and stuff but Seinfeld sticks out more than the others to me.

What about the one in the later season where Jerry tells Elaine that her cell phone walk and talk is rude compared to using a landline.

I never got the tucked/untucked thing until last night. My hotel bed was so tucked so tight I literally had to walk around the whole bed and untuck it myself.

I think most would work just fine. I don’t see how The Contest would be any different with cell phones. Or Elaine having faked her orgasms with Jerry. I guess maybe Jerry sends a group text to his exes asking if he gave them orgasms rather than calling them one by one, but the storyline doesn’t change. Most of the storylines would still work. Even if some of the particulars wouldn’t. Something like Jerry and George losing touch on the highway in the Bubble Boy wouldn’t work with cell phones. But they could do the story of “Jerry is supposed to meet this Bubble Boy but George ends up there instead” by a different means.

As Jerry and Elaine separately try to talk David and Beth Lookner from reconciling, what do they each say happened to them when they were 9?
