Hey everyone.

I thought it would be fun to see what tour had the most memorable shows up to this point in the band's career.

My pick goes to the Riot Act tour. Many memorable shows: Spectrum, Uniondale, Buffalo, State College, both MSGs, all 3 Mansfield shows.

I'd love to hear what all of you think.
Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

Incredibly subjective. Also depends what albums you like. I think 1996 (Berlin, Randalls Island) has some great shows. 1995 (Soldier Field, Red Rocks, Aussie shows) has some of the best improvs and shows. 1992 has some amazing shows (MTV Unplugged, Drop in the Park,Pinkpop Festival) however my favorite is 1998 because it is the Yield Tour and (MSG, Boston, Chicago, Aussie shows, Seattle) are all great.

I'm gonna have to say '95 - simply for the reason that I think the somewhat fragile state the band was in, led to a lot of interesting and unpredictable things happening at the shows. I also really liked that sense of "mystery" surrounding the band at that time, when it was rare to even see anything in the media that wasn't a half-regurgitation of some article that came out years previous.

Although I still love the band live just as much as I did then, the setlists, although obviously more varied in song selection, seem to have a somewhat predictable flow to them, and the between song jamming/improving doesn't seem to occur as much. Even the song tags are pretty standard and rehearsed. But I do have to say, the band seems more "playful" and enjoying themselves much more these days, and that growth and maturity has probably led them to a far better place than they might have ended up...

Don't get me wrong - I've been to many great shows since. Seeing as how '95 was my first show, perhaps I'm slightly biased in addition to my other reasons!
Osaka, Japan (2/21/95), San Diego (7/10/98), Las Vegas (10/22/00), San Diego (10/25/00), Las Vegas (6/6/03), Las Vegas (7/6/06), Los Angeles (7/9/06), VH1 Rock Honors (7/12/08), Ed Solo (7/8/11), Ed Solo (11/1/12), Los Angeles (11/23/13)

Yeah 1995 & 1998 was awesome with the aussie shows you mentioned being totally killer & driving people nuts. Have to say that 2009 was awesome with London coming close to the best i have ever seen them play. The setlist is what did it for me that night & finally getting Release after 14 years & 8 shows.

    I don't think anything competes with 03

    Boston experiment
    State College
    Champaign
    Buffalo
    Australia
    Japan tour
Denver where the fans left b/c the Bush mask
    Alpine
    MSGs

Tack these 2 onto the end....
    Benaroya
    Santa Barbara Bowl

No shows that I was at on that list and Indy and St Lou were no slouches.
