A day with Stot

To log the northwest
a ton of squirrelly bullshit
up and down mountains
a ton of European trumpeter swans and
and Stradivarius violin music
broadcasted onto a piece of shit am/fm radio

As far as can be seen further
everything…ferns tangled up forest to sky top
and diving clouds race between

The lushness
of wooded passages
opening cathedral mists bring more
than I can remember to know how anything
but mosses collect everything knowledgeable and damp
to the slug and salamander cultures
the entire community down to bark singers
which seem to be like the wind across trees through blowing limbs
vibrating leaves
with each conifer’s earth music going

But somehow man
dickhead
the 69 Chevrolet C/20 truck
demonic demolition crew
the blasting saw circular chains
ropes
hard hats are for little girls
chewing tobacco seems to grease his skull and lie it up against taller clouds
because it is mountainous
and I am sure several (spiritual) tons
worth of eagles and bears
lose these living totem leaders

I am as sure as rain
as we are sawdust and mud
that when old age is glorious up top Washington’s green gem rainforests
that once again
I can barely move
and will be fallen
