How many nights in a row have you gone to concerts?

piggybacking off my movie thread, this one for concerts. The modern day record has to be that guy in NY from a couple years back who set out to go to a concert ever night for 100 straight nights. He somehow pulled it off. Every single night for 100 nights he saw a concert. Incredibly impressive.

My own record, I volunteer when I can at a local music venue, and my record is 11 straight shows, 11 consecutive nights of shows. I was dead tired by the end of it. Many of those nights I would work from like noon until 9pm, rush home, and go to the concert. So it was incredibly tiring and exhausting

What is everyone else's record?

Did an average of 4 to 5 a week throughout my 20's and into my 30's ... now I am lucky if I get opportunity for that many a year

The most I've ever done was 5

This, when I tour with a co headline of Michael Franti and Spearhead/Ziggy Marley. It was special in that it was the first tour for Ziggy without the Melodymakers featuring his Dragonfly album.

My personal record so far is 6 nights in a row. I did that on two occasions in 2010.

    4 nights
  • I saw Audioslave 3 night in a row a few years ago - it was when they had started playing some of their older band's material, and I didn't think I'd ever get the chance to hear stuff like TOTD.

I had a festival and 3 gigs within the space of about ten days last year which was pretty cool.
  • Don't remember how many nights it was over... but I saw 7 GD shows at MSG on a run there in the early 90's.

I think my best run was:

    7/2/03 PJ Mansfield
    7/3/03 PJ Mansfield
    7/5/03 PJ Philly
7/6/03 Summer Sanitarium tour in Foxborough
    7/8/03 PJ MSG
    7/9/03 PJ MSG
    7/11/03 PJ Mansfield

Not entirely consecutive, but a good stretch.

  • Well, on just a typical week I'm pretty sure I've a couple in a row before but can't remember what those would've been...

Counting Bonnaroo....4 I guess....and in 2009 Bonnaroo was followed up the next saturday by seeing Eddie in Memphis....from the Boss one Saturday to Eddie the next one....hard to beat that for my money
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

  • I did PJ 2 nights in a row last year, and Type O Negative two nights in a row a few years back.

I saw 3 excellent gigs in a row in 2006:

Thursday - PJ at the Astoria
    Friday - Jose Gonzalez
Saturday - Calexico and Iron & Wine

If you include festivals (which I guess is cheating a bit) I saw 4 days in a row in 2007

Thursday - PJ at The Vic
    Friday to Sunday - Lollapalooza

3 nights in a row, and a shitload of drinking, about did me in during the fall of 2005. Started with Tom Petty/Black Crowes at Red Rocks. Flew to Seattle the next morning and then drove to the Gorge for Pearl Jam. Passed out in the rental car for a few hours, then drove to Vancouver for Pearl Jam that night.

Simply exhausted after that........makes my feet hurt thinking about it.

    I haven't included 2 days at a festival.
  • 2005 - 8 shows in 9 days
    2008 - 11 shows in 12 days
    2009 - 9 shows in 10 days
    2010 - 12 shows in 12 days

    I love Summer Vacation!!!

3 PJ shows in a row, Melbourne '03. Then 4 PJ shows in '09, though there were breaks in between the 4 shows.
  • I have done 3 night twice. I saw Phish 3 nights in a row in '95. It should have been 4, but my buddy had to go to his brother's wedding.

I saw Wilco in Brooklyn and then Ratdog two nights at Penns Peak.

Actually I was at Austin City Limits for 3 nights, but that is kind of cheating.
